Marketplace rules in short
Amazon asks for a pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255) on main product images, with the product filling about 85% of the frame; images of at least 1000 pixels on the longest side enable zoom. Shopify recommends 2048 × 2048 pixels for square product images. Always check the marketplace's current guide before you publish.
A fast workflow for a whole catalogue
- Drop up to 50 product photos at once.
- Pick White under Background; the choice applies to every image in the batch.
- Under Export, pick JPEG and Crop to subject, which trims the space around each product with a small margin.
- Fix any image with the Erase and Restore brush, then press Download all to get one ZIP file.
Why white stays white
Clipout composites the product over exact RGB 255 white at full size, and the colour decontamination step removes the old background's tint from soft edges, so there is no grey or coloured rim around the product.
Questions
Is the white exactly RGB 255, 255, 255?
Yes. The White background is composited as pure white (RGB 255, 255, 255) in the exported file.
Can I process a whole catalogue?
Yes. Drop up to 50 images at a time and download them all as one ZIP file; start another batch for the next 50.
Does Crop to subject add a margin?
Yes. It trims to the product and keeps a margin of 4% of the product's longer side on every edge.
